Dr. Matthew A. Sellers
Dr. Matthew Sellers has been at Cornerstone since 2008 and brings expertise to our team and personalized care to our patients. While delivering his first baby in medical school, he remembers feeling amazed as he was the first person to hold the baby as it took its first breath, and this led him to choose a career in OB-GYN. Much of his inspiration as a physician comes from his Christian faith and his favorite Bible verses, Acts 17:24-25: "The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by human hands. And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything. Rather, he himself gives everyone life and breath and everything else."
Dr. Sellers is a Board Certified OB-GYN with a clinical emphasis on OB-GYN and gynecologic surgery, and he is the first resident-trained robotic gynecologic surgeon in the state of Arkansas. He was honored with 1st place in laparoscopic and hysteroscopic simulation and outstanding resident in gynecology/oncology during his 2008 residency at UAMS. He is a member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the American Association of Pro-life Obstetricians and Gynecologists. He looks forward to seeing his patients grow old and hopes to one day deliver their children’s children.
An active member of his church, Dr. Sellers and his family are passionate about serving the community and the world. He met his wife while ministering to orphans abroad, and they were married in 2002. They have three wonderful children. When he’s not working, Dr. Sellers enjoys spending time with his family, biking, hunting and traveling.
